Ruud Rudy Van Moorleghem
Early February Subbacultcha! had interviews for an intern and Kasper-Jan got me involved. The first person to be interviewed was Ruud, whom I’d seen before at a club years ago. I didn’t think much of him back then but the minute he walked in, we started talking and immediately hit it off. A week later he was chosen as the intern and I’ve been seeing Ruud at least once a week since and if I don’t, I miss him lots. He’s the greatest guy, basically.
His internship’s just about ended and we’re all pretty sad but tonight is gonna be special cause Ruud will be doing a performance at his solo exhibition Dreams Cum True at the old library here in Ghent. The exhibition is a compilation of his best work with some new stuff thrown in. Some if it’s pretty extreme and that’s exactly his trademark.
But most of all, just like me, he likes shine and glitter.

I genuinely believe Ruud‘s a talented guy and will be going places. He graduates this year and I can’t wait to see more from him in the future. And I’m super excited about tonight!
