Whilst I am in no way interested in cars whatsoever, bicycles can totally make my heart beat faster.
Of course, as I hope you all realise, I am a girl and I’m mostly a fan of cute accessories like baskets or a dash of colour here and there. I’ve been riding the same bike I got at the age of 11 and over the years I tried to fun things up by adding rattling beads to the spokes of my tyres or replacing my boring bell with one in the shape of a bee but my bicycle is just the same old now.
This summer I saw my dream bike in Berlin but I never managed to remember the brand. It was the best thing ever though. Ever since I’ve been swooning over several bicycles online and in real life. So I thought I’d do a bicycle themed post!
I came across this beauty
a couple of weeks back and it immediately reminded me of the bike I spotted in Berlin. If this was in turquoise and without the basket it would come pretty close. One day I WILL have a turquoise bike to cycle around Berlin – or whichever other city/country I live in at the time.

Then this morning I came across what seems like a great magazine about bicycles called Boneshaker. Boneshaker is “a celebration of cycling and the people who do it. Full of articles, personal stories and anecdotes about people and projects doing great things with bicycles around the globe”.
The cover to their latest issue looks beautiful too, which is a bonus.
Next up is Bike By Me, a website where you can choose the colours for whichever part of your bike and when you’ve altered it to your liking you can just buy it! Yes! Just like that! Pretty amazing. Only downside is that, for the time being, they only seem to do men’s bikes. Here’s a good colour combination:
Whilst browsing for bikes and alikes I somehow came across an amazing dress on Etsy – aptly called the Bicycle Love Dress. I don’t have to tell you it was love at first sight! The colours, the print, the small details. It’s just a shame the pictures aren’t very good quality. Here’s a detailed photo of the collar:
Want want want basically all of these.
Bicycles for the win! Right?
Though I have to admit I’m not that much of an avid cyclist but I do use my bike on a daily basis and I hope I can continue to do so throughout my whole life. And it’s just much more fun if you and your steel buddy look good in the process.
